Nathaniel Davis was born on November 22, 1947 in Georgetown,
South Carolina He was the youngest of eight children born to Mary
and Joseph Davis
Nathaniel was educated by the South Carolina school system until he
graduated high school and joined the United States Army in 1970. He
served his country for several years as an armorer before receiving an
honorable discharge
Nathaniel met and fell in love with Valerie Jones from this union came 5
children: Roxanne Jones, Delicia Jones, Danielle Jones, Nate Smalls, and
Deston Jones
Nathaniel Davis loved cars and was an efficient and self-taught
mechanic
Nathaniel, affectionately known as Nose to those who knew him best,
departed this life on Monday, January 7, 2019. He leaves to mourn his
passing his daughters Roxanne, Delicia, and Danielle, his sons Nate
Smalls and Deston Jones, his brother Rufus Davis, his sister Sue
Armstrong, his grandson Jace Jones, his cousin Edith Green his nieces
Kimberly Graham, Marie Bynum and Zenobi a Harper, his nephew Terry
Smalls, His great niece and nephew Jayniece and David Manning Jr., his
brother in law Ralph Smalls and a host of wonderful extended family and
friends
Nathaniel Davis was well respected by everyone he encountered due
to his straightforward nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Joseph Davis, his
brothers Edward and Joseph Davis jr., his sisters Loretta Davis, Joe Ann
Smalls, and Sadie Pittman.
