Albert B. Lee Jr. was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert B. Lee Sr. and Pearl Reid on January 11, 1933. Albert received his education in the New York City public school system and after graduating from High School enrolled in Queens Borough Community College where he majored in engineering.
Albert later enlisted in the Arm Forces of the United States attending the Ordnance School Aberdeen providing ground in Maryland where he received metals for Korea service with five bronze stars, United Nations Service metal, National defense service metal and R.O.K. Presidential Unit Citation. During his time of service he married his high school sweetheart the late Evelyn Lee; from that union they had four children Brenda Lee (Deceased), Emily Lee, twins Pearl Tora Ponds (Deceased) and Albert Lee. In 1966 Albert was employed with the New York telephone company retiring in 2006.
He was a member of the Coalition of Black Causes and a founding sponsor to Schromburg Library, Ronald Brown Building. Albert was named the Ambassador of Africa and a lifetime member of N.A.A.C.P., N.A. and Noble.
Albert was called home to be with the Lord October 4, 2019. He leaves to cherish his memory his five children Emily Lee, Albert Lee, Kisha Lee Pacheco, Leshor Lee- Bellinger and Eva Rhodes, Grandchildren Sharron, Tamika, Charles Jr., Author Jr., James, Tiffany, Kenya, Rashawn, Jo-Anne, Joshua, Jonathan, Kayla, Nicholas, Gabriel, Geordan, Jasmine, Marion and Courtney, Great Grandchildren Kelly, Tiara, Yazaria, Jayshan, Charlie, Makiya, Rashawn, Tiffany, Josiah, Peyton, Eva, Zion and Glory, Great-Great Grandchild Kiajah, Nieces Amanda and Sonia, Nephews Terrance, Shayne, Chav, Lloyde, In-laws Lorraine Townsend, David Charley, Agnes Charley, and Lillian Nicholas, a host of Great Nieces, Nephews, family and friends and his very special friends Sophia, Barbara, Anita and Terry.
