James Mitchell, age 57, passed away in his home in the Bronx, on Monday, January 20, 2020.
James grew up in Harlem where he was well-know and loved. He attended with his High Scholl Diploma in 1979. He was recently employed as a driver for 2622 LLC, Bronx, New York.
In 1980, at the age of 18, James enlisted in the United States Army as a Communications Operations Specialist. He served for four years and separated Honorably in 1984. James was an intelligent man, who had a philosophy on many topics which he eagerly shared. He loved to read and study the bible and passed on his revelations of the scriptures to others.
James was an extremely intelligent, insightful, though-provoking, visionary; someone who loved to share learned information and embrace life’s lessons. He naturally attracted people and was well-known by many in the Harlem community. He was mentally in tune with life and gave great advice about life in general.
James was preceded in death by his father, Pernell Mitchell.
James leaves troll cherish his memory his mother, Amelia Mitchell of Maysville, SC; his brother, Thomas Mitchell of Bronx, NY; his brother, Darrell Mitchell (Nicole) of Beaufort, SC; his youngest brother, Timothy Mitchell (Denise) of Bronx, NY; his lifelong friend, Charles Nicholas, his nieces, Amera Mithchell and Arielle Mitchell; his nephews, Raynard Mitchell and Thomas Mitchell, Jr., as well as a =host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends
